Game description:
Tasty Blue is an arcade action game where players control aquatic creatures that constantly grow by eating everything around them. The game begins with a small pet goldfish trapped inside an aquarium. After escaping into the ocean, the fish starts consuming food, smaller animals, and nearby objects, becoming larger over time. As progression continues, the scale of destruction increases and the player eventually becomes capable of swallowing boats, submarines, and even larger structures.
From Aquarium Fish to Ocean Predator
The gameplay is built around continuous growth and exploration. At the beginning of each level, the player can only eat tiny targets such as fish food or small sea creatures. After growing larger, new types of prey become available and the environment opens further. Different locations include underwater laboratories, beaches, rivers, city harbors, and open ocean sections filled with moving objects and enemies.
The game contains several campaigns with different playable creatures. In addition to the goldfish storyline, players can control a dolphin and a shark during separate chapters. Each campaign introduces unique environments and objectives connected to the animal being used. Some levels focus on escaping human capture, while others involve surviving attacks from military forces or destroying large underwater facilities. Later stages become more difficult because enemies use stronger weapons and more aggressive tactics against the growing creature.
Growth Mechanics and Level Objectives
One of the main mechanics in Tasty Blue is the size progression system. Every object consumed increases the creature’s size slightly, allowing access to larger prey and new areas. Some levels also contain optional challenges and hidden sections that reward exploration and efficient movement through the environment.
Main gameplay activities include:
eating fish, animals, and objects
growing larger during each stage
exploring underwater and coastal environments
escaping enemy attacks and traps
destroying vehicles and structures
completing missions across different campaigns
Progression Across Campaigns
The game is played from a side-view perspective with controls focused on movement and navigation. Players move freely through water while searching for edible targets and avoiding larger dangers during the early stages of growth. Some missions include time limits, survival objectives, or enemy encounters that require faster reactions and efficient movement.
