Are you Awake?

Game description:

In Are you Awake?, you are stuck inside a small apartment where the light from the screen never fades. Gilbert, the main character, hasn’t slept in days. Instead of rest, the hours are filled with repetitive tasks—working on digital forms, walking through the same rooms, and playing games to pass time. Nothing ever feels final. The silence grows louder the longer you stay awake. There is no clear objective other than continuing, and that lack of direction makes everything feel uncertain. You don’t know what will change next—only that something already has.

Small Shifts in Familiar Space

As you keep going, Are you Awake? begins to distort the routine. The television flickers. Objects shift position when you're not looking. The hallway seems longer than it was. What begins as simple insomnia starts turning into something harder to explain. There are no enemies, but there is presence. Sometimes the door feels too closed, sometimes too open. You examine your surroundings for clues, but nothing adds up. You are alone, but not entirely. The house feels like it’s watching you just as much as you are watching it.

Sleepless Realities

Everything in Are you Awake? plays out through atmosphere and small interactions. The visuals are minimal, the sound design emphasizes isolation, and the pacing is slow by design. What matters isn’t what you do, but what you notice. You keep completing tasks that lead nowhere. The structure repeats, but each loop contains something off. Eventually, it becomes unclear whether you’re dreaming, remembering, or losing grip. The game ends, but the unease stays—as if something followed you beyond the screen.
