R.E.P.O.

Game description:

R.E.P.O. is a cooperative horror game where players work together to recover valuable objects from dark, dangerous locations. Each player controls a character equipped with a physics-based grabbing tool, allowing them to lift, carry, and transport items of all shapes and sizes. Whether it's a fragile vase or a massive piece of machinery, every object behaves realistically, forcing players to think about weight, balance, and careful movement. The ultimate goal is to extract these items without attracting too much attention from the threats that lurk in the shadows.

Monsters, Mistakes, and Proximity Voice

One of Repo’s unique features is proximity voice chat, where players can only hear each other if they stay close together. This makes teamwork essential but also risky, as too much noise can draw monsters toward the group. These creatures, affected by the same physics rules as players, react to sound and environmental changes. Dropping an item, slamming a door, or even talking too loudly can be enough to trigger a chase. Success depends on balancing communication and silence, while staying aware of both teammates and threats.

Upgrades and Persistent Progress

Between missions, r.e.p.o allows players to spend the money they earn on upgrades that improve their tools and abilities. Stronger arms for lifting heavier objects, quieter footsteps to reduce noise, and even defensive gadgets can all be unlocked to increase survival chances. The mysterious computer that oversees these missions offers these upgrades in exchange for completed jobs, making each successful extraction not only a victory but also an investment in future missions. With its mix of physics puzzles, horror elements, and teamwork-based mechanics, Repo offers a constantly evolving challenge that forces players to think fast, work together, and adapt to unexpected dangers.
