The Beacon's End

Game description:

In The Beacon's End, the game introduces Samuel, the sole guardian of a lighthouse on the secluded Blackstone Island. Tasked with the crucial job of maintaining the lighthouse's beacon, his days are consumed by the repetitive yet essential chores that ensure the safety of mariners navigating near the island. This routine serves as both a distraction and a coping mechanism for Samuel, as it keeps his mind off the unsettling memories of his past.

A Creeping Threat

As the days unfold, Samuel remains unaware of the malevolent force that lurks beneath the surface of the island. His life of solitude on Blackstone is punctuated by the rhythmic sound of the ocean and the creaking of the lighthouse machinery—sounds that are soon accompanied by less familiar, more sinister noises. The isolation of the island starts to feel less like solitude and more like entrapment, as the secrets buried under the island begin to stir.
Capturing the essence of 1990s survival horror games, The Beacon's End employs retro PSX graphics and immersive audio to heighten the sense of isolation and impending doom. Players step into Samuel’s shoes, experiencing the haunting atmosphere as the game expertly blends nostalgia with terror. Through its gameplay and design, the game challenges players to maintain the lighthouse and to uncover and confront the dark mysteries that threaten Samuel's sanity and safety.
